Privacy Policy
The short version
- Your chat files never leave your device. ConvoPaper reads them inside your browser. We never receive, see or store your messages, photos or file names.
- We do not use cookies, accounts or ads.
- We count anonymous usage events (for example “a PDF was saved”) to learn whether the tool is useful.

Your chat files
When you open a chat export, the file is read by code running in your browser. The conversion to a PDF also happens in your browser. The file and its contents are not sent to us or to anyone else. Our website's security settings (Content Security Policy) block the page from sending data anywhere except our own site and the analytics service described below, and that service only receives the fixed event names listed below. You can check this yourself: after the page has loaded, switch on airplane mode — the tool still works.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use Umami Cloud to count visits and a small set of product events. We send it only:
- a page view (page path, referring website, browser language, screen size);
- events with fixed values only: a file was opened (ZIP, text or sample), a file was rejected (and the type of error), a file was not a chat export, “Save as PDF” was clicked (A4 or Letter), and which “Pro” feature button was clicked.
We never send file names, participant names, message text or any identifier for you. We do not use cookies. Like any website request, Umami receives your IP address and browser information; according to Umami, the IP address is used to estimate your country and is not stored. See Umami's privacy policy.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Storage on your device
If you choose a language, your browser may remember that choice (local storage). Nothing else is stored.
Payments
ConvoPaper does not sell anything at the moment. If paid features are added, this policy will be updated first.
Legal basis and your rights
For visitors in the EU/EEA and the UK, anonymous analytics and hosting are based on our legitimate interest in running and improving a free tool. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, there is usually nothing we can access, correct or delete for you — but you can always contact us with questions or requests at hui27.jeong@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We will update this page when anything changes and adjust the date at the top.
