WhatsApp chat to PDF, with the photos in place

Export the chat with media and open the ZIP here. Every photo appears next to its message, with captions, in a clean PDF — and nothing leaves your device.

PDF CSV

One file, three ways to keep it

Clean PDF

A cover page, one line per day and page numbers. Ready to print, share or keep.

Photos in place

Export with media and every photo appears next to the message it was sent with.

How it works

Excel spreadsheet

One row per message with date, time and sender. Sort, filter and search it all.

How it works

How to keep the photos

  1. In WhatsApp, open the chat and choose Export Chat.
  2. Choose Attach Media (iPhone) or Include media (Android). WhatsApp creates a .zip file.
  3. Save the .zip to your phone or computer. You don't need to unzip it.
  4. Open the .zip here. Photos and stickers show up next to their messages, with captions.
  5. Tap Download PDF.

Good to know

Is my chat uploaded anywhere?

No. ConvoPaper reads the file inside your browser and creates the PDF on your device. After the page has loaded you can switch on airplane mode and it still works.

Can I use the PDF in court?

We can't promise that. Courts and authorities decide what they accept, and the original electronic chat usually matters most. Keep your original export file and ask a lawyer.

How it works

  1. Export the chat on your phone.
  2. Open the exported file here.
  3. Save it as a PDF.

How do I export my chat?

  1. Open WhatsApp and the chat you want to keep.
  2. Tap the contact or group name at the top.
  3. Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
  4. Choose Attach Media to keep photos, or Without Media for text only.
  5. Tap Save to Files, then come back here and choose that file.

Menu names can differ slightly between app versions and languages.

Your messages stay on your device

Your file is read inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Want to check? After this page loads, switch on airplane mode — it still works.

A PDF is a readable copy. Courts and authorities decide what they accept, so keep your original export file too.
